Paris, the world capital of tourism, attracts millions of visitors every year from all over the world, including France. Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is to Paris what the Statue of Liberty is to New York and Big Ben is to London: the ultimate landmark.
French engineer Gustave Eiffel, already famous for building viaducts and bridges, worked for two years to erect this iconic monument for the 1889 World's Fair. It also commemorates the centennial of the French Revolution.
Today it is certainly most beautiful at night, when it is displayed in a glittering spectacle. The latter was intended only for the transition to the year 2000, but was so well received that the 20,000 light bulbs were reinstalled permanently in 2003.
The Iron Lady does her electric dance for five minutes every hour from dusk until one in the morning. It is very well attended, so get in line to get to the top!
The Louvre
The Louvre is not only the best art museum in the world, but also the most visited. With 210,000 m² of exhibition space, where you will find works from almost all civilizations of the world, it is also the largest.
The three most popular works here are the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory. Aside from these basic things, it's best to know where youre going and what you want to see first. But do not be afraid to get lost, because you might come across something unforgettable!
